This is not a thing I usually articulate on LJ...but...

SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My lovely friend John (MRK) called me this afternoon to let me know that he and his sweetie will be coming to Shibaricon this year! I have really been missing my friends from across the pond, and to know that at least some of them will be coming. Im still waiting to hear on a few...Another thing I noticed while speaking to John today is that any time I speak to someone with an non-American accent, I feel slightly unsophisticated and undereducated. Here, everyone looks at me funny when I call them 'love' or say things like, 'banahhhnahhh' ;).

Also, Travis called me this morning to tell me that as of the 1st of Feb, his raise is effective...and its a nice raise. The bonus rocks too.

Now, if only it would warm up just a few damn degrees for me to walk home.........

Just thought I'd drop a quick line in to say I'm really looking forward to meeting you and the rest of His American friends, as well as ones from Oz etc etc. Damn nervous but also very excited.

And that's the first time someone called me someones "sweetie". It made me giggle.

What time do you get off work? I'm actually in Macomb and have an appointment at the University at 2:30, but I don't think it'll take more than half an hour or so.

As for you being Johns sweetie...well, it just seems like an appropriate nickname. How I came to that conclusion...well, i cant really say. All I know is that I cant wait to meet you!

I only WISH it was May! It's freezing cold (even for me) here in Illinois, and if it were May, not only would there be lots of fun rope going on, there would be FAR warmer temps!

I am SO game! I'll run it by Trav, but i would LOVE to try a multiple. I'm always looking for new things.

Hurrah!! It's fun flying on your own, granted, but I'm looking forward to having an in-flight buddy or two or three!!!
